During the last Discovery for women I picked a promise, Psalm 126: 5&6 which reads “ those that sow in tears shall reap in joy and he who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing shall doubtless come again rejoicing bringing his sheaves with him”. When I picked this promise, it dawned on me that God was asking me to sow a sacrificial seed that would cost me tears since I had being praying for a financial breakthrough.
I had just paid my first fruit since it was the beginning of the year and I was experiencing financial challenges because I had just been duped by a business friend. During the time also, my husband who is away studying in the UK also began to experience financial difficulties. He had part of his fees still unpaid. As God will orchestrate it, it was also that same quarter that we were usually paid a substantial allowance in my office.
After receiving my allowance that quarter, I brought it to church. It was indeed a painful sacrifice for me since we both needed every Naira we had at that time. Indeed I sowed in tears; pastor prayed for me and he assured me I will return with a testimony. God indeed is a faithful God and after I dropped that seed we began to experience pleasant surprises.
On the 1st of May, my husband called me and we discussed about me coming over to the UK to deliver my baby. Due to our financial challenges, we agreed that I should probably have the baby in Nigeria but God surprised us and He offered us free accommodation to house us as a family with my baby for three months (that is in the UK). He also surprised us with financial favors from friends and family who supported us financially and as this testimony is being read I am on holiday for three months in the UK where I would have my baby.
God is indeed a faithful God and is always moved by seeds of sacrificial givers and today 12th of June happens to be my wedding anniversary. I give God all the praise for all He has done for me.
